Trimming, saving, and exporting as GIF

Every recording opens into a trim and preview window when you stop.
What you can do
- Trim — cut the start or end of the clip.
- Copy share link — put an instant link on your clipboard.
- Copy share link as GIF — converts the clip to a GIF (capped at 30 seconds, 15fps, 640px wide) and copies that link instead.
- Save — save the file locally; Close discards the preview.
Your recordings folder is always one click away from the menu bar — the Recordings item opens it directly in Finder.
